Who can become a sperm donor?

3 simple steps.

The Process.

Are you a male between the ages of 18 and 35? Here are the next steps in the process.

  • Medical Questionnaire – We will ask you to fill out a form that asks you about your family, medical, and sexual history. You will be asked questions about the medical history of your extended family including parents, siblings, grandparent, aunts and uncles, and cousins stretching back several generations. These questions help determine reoccurring familial risks like a history of sickle cell anemia or cystic fibrosis as examples. We will also ask about other high risk factors like recent sexual promiscuities, tattoos, IV drug use, exposure to radiation or toxic materials and military service.

  • Testing and Physical Exam – Once a family has chosen you, we will send you a discrete home based sperm analysis kit. You will make a deposit and send it back to the lab where it will be processed. This test determines sperm count, motility (how well your sperm move), and morphology (the overall health of the sperm). If your sample is determined to be acceptable, we will send you to a local doctor for a physical exam and infectious disease testing.

  • Semen sample – This initial sample will be destroyed following analysis and after you are notified of the results. Please note that you will not be paid for submitting this test sample. At this point, you will make one more trip to the doctor to make your actual deposit that will be used to create embryos. Payment will be made same day.

Not everyone is a good fit.
