Since 1965, sperm donations have been the same. We are changing that.

The future of sperm donation is here.

The Wrong Way

Sperm donation typically requires a brief paperwork session, some testing and a couple of months of cryobanks visits to make donations. Donors are then compensated a small amount for their samples. BUT THEN WHAT? Donors do not know what happens to their biological matter. They are not informed about babies that have been conceived. They are promised anonymity to later be contacted by children seeking answers. Sperm donation, like egg donation, should be celebrated and donors should be educated, informed and compensated appropriately.

The RIGHT WAY

Donors come to Known™ with the intention of helping another person or couple have a baby. They fill out paperwork, health history, profile and submit pictures. The donor is then tested for 5 categories of sperm health: volume, count, concentration, motility, and morphology. Once a parent has selected the donor, they are virtually introduced by the agency. There is a “get to know you” session and an opportunity to discuss process, communication and expectations. If both parties agree to the match, the donor will then be screened at a local fertility clinic, tested and samples collected. Once lab work is returned and approved, the samples will be cryoshipped to the Intended Parent’s clinic for embryo creation.

Our Mission

Known™ seeks to create transparent, ethical, safe and connective sperm donations that consider all the parties, including donor conceived children born through loving and compassionate donors.
